As we get ready to celebrate Thanksgiving Day in the United States, we’ll reflect on the things we’re grateful for when we gather with family and friends to share good food and fellowship.
Feeling and recording in a journal was a ling-time favorite to do the first thi g in the morning. I committed to three but sometimes recorded upwards of 20. The key was that I had to write the why I was greatful for each.

Me to start it back up again, only I'm doing so at night before bed. I want to see if it makes a difference. Nice article! Thank you.
That's a wonderful practice, Patti. What I love about journaling is the ability to revisit what I wrote at different times of my life. I'm very sporadic though. I seem to journal only when I need to figure things out. It helps me to just write it all out on paper--very cathartic.
I agree. I really have to curtail going back into my journals. One month I had over 80,000 words for crying out loud. Haha, talk about trying to figure things out.
I’m much better off doing a gratitude list and limiting it to 20 max.
Hi. I appreciate your comment, but I try to keep my politics out of this space. What I will say is the political landscape makes health and wellness a particularly important focus in our lives because it's something within our control. I'm all about making America healthy and well.
No sure what this has to do with my response to gratitude, but no, I haven't been following anything involving politics in particular, except what my husband shares.
This is a different kind of gratitude article because you addresses the hesitations people might have over creating the list in the first place! I LOVE IT!
Thanks, Daria. I appreciate this post and you!
Thank you Cherie! Happy Thanksgiving!

Okay, no problem, thank you for the share, but on this particular page I follow it for health and wellness. Best of luck.

Ordinary- or at least I've been trying to this past week. I’ve been reading “The Unexpected Joy of the Ordinary” to help me with this reframe 😊
You always have such great book suggestions. This sounds like another one I need to check out.
