Changing time is a big bone of contention with me. I worked shift work for years. Add that to changing the time and it's a double whammy. And it isn't necessary anymore. Those days are long gone. Changing the time is yet another example of our archaic bureaucracy. I live in Michigan where it makes a big difference, especially for outdoor enthusiasts who get out of factory work and want more light in the evening. I don't care what "they" do, just leave the clocks on one time moving forward, stop changing it! Good article.
Thank you Patti! I have some Michigan connections. I went to MSU my Freshman year, and my folks had a cottage on Torch Lake for over 50 years. I love it Up North, and I really miss being there in the summer. I loved still having light until 9 or 10 during the summer months.
I wish I could say the same. Maybe if we lived closer to the upper peninsula or (ironically enough) closer to Chicago I might enjoy it more... as it is we live in Muskegon, close to the middle of nowhere. Light during summer evenings is great, except due to my sleep schedule I get up around 3 or 4 in the morning, meaning I go to bed much earlier than most. Where do you live now, what part of the country?

Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
Now I understand why you might miss Michigan. I lived in Louisiana 3 or 4 different times. I loved it!! Culture and weather can't be compared.
