I created Wellgevity Warrior to provide practical wellness and longevity information, research, personal insights and inspiration for women to live their best lives in their 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and yes, even after hitting the century mark.
Wellgevity Warrior focuses on primarily on simple things that can have a big impact. Nothing crazy or hard (unless I’m pointing out how crazy and hard it is). No talk about spending hours in the gym, eating food that doesn’t taste good, depriving ourselves, or pursuing complicated and expensive “anti-aging” routines and procedures.
Who wants to live a long life if they feel like crap? Not me! So in Wellgevity Warrior I’ll talk about exercise and movement, mindfulness, and meditation, food (because what’s life without good food?), finding joy and purpose, life experiences, and other information of interest.
Wellness + Longevity
Why wellgevity? Wellgevity is a combination of the words wellness and longevity. Admittedly, you won’t find it in a dictionary, but it captures the essence and the spirit of what getting older can and should be—living a long life and living it well!
Wellgevity Warrior is about empowered aging. It’s about living this phase of life with joie de vivre. I believe in embracing age and wisdom and and having fun.
Getting older doesn’t have to suck. Getting older is a gift and an adventure. Let’s appreciate this gift by feeling good in our bodies, our minds, and our spirits.
A Bit About Me
I’m a Wellgevity Warrior who believes that the best is yet to come. I’m passionate about women’s health and wellness, and I want women in their 50s and well beyond to live joyful, healthy, and satisfying lives.
I’m also a certified Health and Wellness Coach, Personal Trainer, and Senior Fitness Specialist. I’ve been involved in fitness and wellness for over 30 years. For the past 20 years, I’ve focused on wellness and fitness for older adults. I bring my knowledge, training, experience, and my own experience as an “older” woman to Wellgevity Warrior Newsletter. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it.
